Laser Cutting & Engraving

What is the difference between laser cutting / laser scoring and laser engraving?

Cutting: Material is cut all the way through. You tell the laser where to cut the line placement.

Scoring: Material is marked with a very shallow score line.

Engraving: Material is “coloured in” Engraving is a lot more time consuming then cutting and scoring.

What materials can I laser cut or engrave?

Wood, fabric & leather, bamboo, acrylic, glass, foam, granite, paper, ceramic, plastics and rubber.

Can I order a one-off piece?

Absolutely - You can request a quote here for anything custom. Prices for a one-off piece start from $25 min charge.

How long will my job take?

Usually all jobs will be completed and in the post within 1-2weeks receiving payment. However, this does depend on the size of the job and how much we have on at the time. If you have a tight deadline, let us know and we’ll do our best to rush things through for you.

What file types do you accept for laser cutting or engraving?

We need vector files of any format of laser cutting, the laser cutter can only recognise vector files, as it needs to use the lines contained in the file to do its thing.

Vector files end in .eps or .ai, and can't be opened on a typical PC (they need specific programs). If you've had a designer work on your project/brand, they may have sent you the files. If you're having issues with design files, get in touch with us and we may be able to provide guidance.

How much will my job cost?

Our laser cutting services are priced according to the time it takes to cut on the machine & the material cost.

All our products online are customised based off what your requirements are.

For custom jobs, the quote will be based off the detail provided in your artwork/vector file. Request a Custom Quote here.

Can you give me a quote without supplying a file?

Unfortunately we cannot, we need the artwork file to estimate cutting/engraving times and then we can give you the price.

How can I process payment?

For online orders: You can process payment as per the icons in the footer of our website.

For custom jobs: On Provision of an Invoice you may choose to pay with EFT (Bank Transfer) or PayPal. We must receive payment / payment confirmation in order to begin work.

Do you accept urgent orders?

Yes we do. There is an extra fee of $30 to have your order jump the queue. Please let us know if you would like to have your order marked as urgent.

What is your turn around time?

Our standard turnaround time is 5-7 business days. During peak seasons it may change.

Do you offer Local Pick Up?

Yes we offer local pick up. We are located on the Sunshine Coast (Nambour). We will contact you once your order is ready for pick up. 

Can I preview my design before it goes into production?

Yes we do, once your order has been designed we will send you a proof by email for your to confirm. (Please check your junk mail!)

What if I change my mind after I have approved my design proof?

Unfortunately, once you have confirmed your proof it can no longer be changed, so please make sure you are 100% happy with your proof and double check all spelling.

Our items are custom made, therefore returns are not possible. If there's anything wrong with your order, please contact us.
